Trash Works

These works have been created from items in my recycle and trash bins – old CD’s, Amazon packaging, aluminum cans, boxes, straws, drink packaging, egg cartons, pasteboard, envelopes. junk mail, styrofoam and takeout containers, single use plastic, yogurt containers and candy wrappers and more. I cut up the material into small tiles and used old canvases and frames to make mosaic works. The large works have thousands of tiles. Once completed, I seal the work with clear gel.

The pandemic has made me aware of the inevitable, some day I will be gone. I often wonder what will happen to all the art I’ve created. Well, it will not worry me at all, it can go into the trash from where it came!
